THE AVANT/GARDE DIARIES BLOCK PARTY
To celebrate the opening of their new offices in Nolita, the team at Avant/Garde Diaries hired Nuit Blanche NY and Materials & Methods to create a projection mapping installation to transform the interior of a historic carriage house into a visually arresting venue.
The night's lineup featured DJ's Peter Rock and Kim Sweeney; VJ's Patrick McWain and Chika of Imagima; and Live Performances by Janka Nabay and The Bubu Gang.
Avant/Garde is a digital interview magazine that asks artists what “avant garde” means for their personal practice. The office block party featured music by DJ’s Pete Rock and Kim Sweeney, and live performances by Janka Nabay and the Bubu Gang. Materials & Methods created breathtaking, sound reactive, video installations and transformed the space by projecting media across the ceiling, windows, and walls of the space.
